K. Scott Performs “Rise Up” at Utah Football Game!

Monster Sessions Industry Songwriter Camp student, K. Scott performs “Rise Up”, a song he created in Monster A&R with a fellow Monster Sessions peer.

“Former Utah football wide receiver Kenneth Scott came back to Salt Lake City to perform his original song "Rise Up" with the Marching Utes for Homecoming Weekend against Oregon State.” - KSL Sports

For years, K. Scott balanced being a highly talented football player, for one of the most prestigious football programs in the country, starting a family with his college girlfriend and stepping into the world of music as an aspiring music artist.

He joined the Monster A&R community in 2019, immediately following that up with a trip to Orange County to attend our Industry Songwriter Camp for the weekend. K. Scott also flew to Atlanta to participate in our “Atlanta Beat Camp” the week of A3C 2019.

The “Atlanta Beat Camp” was a 5-day Monster Sessions Producer Camp that placed 11 students in a house to collaborate, network and build Team Monster Sessions camaraderie with other students. During this time, K. Scott recorded nearly 10 songs with every producer in the house, including Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania producer and Monster Sessions student, Anthony “ARGotDaSauce” Ruiz.

Kenneth & Anthony developed a relationship over the next few months that resulted in the creation of the song “Rise Up”, a song that quickly became the theme song for the Utah University Football Team. Original K. Scott "Rise Up" Story
